PTAC units are “through-the-wall” climate control systems that
provide efficient zoned heating and cooling, year-round. ARSCO
manufactures enclosures that surround new or existing PTAC units.
They instantly enhance and streamline the appearance around the
unit and are custom fabricated to fit PTAC units made by all
major manufacturers, including GE, Carrier, Trane, Amana,
Sanyo, McQuay, Islandaire, Friedrich and others.
PTAC units typically use an electric resistance-type heater,
and reverse cycle refrigeration to warm the air when it’s cold.
During the summer, PTAC units cool by combining refrigeration
and forced ventilation. ARSCO also manufactures covers for
PTAC units that use hydronic heat.
ARSCO enclosures for PTAC units are manufactured from 18 gauge
steel, and are pretreated for long-term protection from corrosion.
Like ARSCO pipe and radiator enclosures, our covers for PTAC
units have a powder coated finish – (an industry exclusive!) –
for maximum scratch and fade resistance and best-possible
appearance.
ARSCO offers six standard powder coated colors: white, soft white,
antique, gray, brown and jet black. Unlimited custom colors too.
