How To Measure
Do you have fin tubes that run wall-to-wall, and do the pipes run through the end walls?
If so, you need a wall-to-wall unit, with open ends.
Length – First, measure the exact length of the wall-to-wall fin tube,
all the way to the corners, and subtract 1/4". We’ll provide inside end
angles to trim-out the difference and add support.
Height – Decide if the cover will bolt-on and rest on the floor,
or be elevated off the floor.
If the cover rests on the floor,
measure from the floor to the top of the fin tubes and add at least 2” –
more if you want a sloped top for your cover.
Depth – Measure from the back wall to the farthest point of the fin tube
(or any other protrusion from the wall that we’ll need to accommodate.)
Add 1” to this number. If you are considering a sloped top,
you’ll want to add to this number to assure proper clearance.
length and depth will be measured the same way as described above.
For the height measurement, we recommend you measure from
2” above the fin tube to 2” below the fin tube.

We will provide a 2” mounting angle at the top and a wall bracket at the bottom.
If you have fin tubes that are shorter than the length of the wall,
with pipes coming from the fin tubes and entering the floor
at one or both ends, you’ll want a:
floor-mounted mid-wall cover
or a
wall-mounted mid-wall cover
Both of these cover designs are supplied with an end cap
for where the pipe enters the floor. To measure for either type of mid-wall cover:
First measure the length. Include pipes and valves and add 1” or more.
Height – Decide if the cover will bolt-on and rest on the floor,
or be elevated off the floor.
If the cover rests on the floor,
measure from the floor to the top of the fin tubes and add at least 2” –
more if you want a sloped top for your cover.
Depth – Measure from the back wall to the farthest point of the fin tube
(or any other protrusion from the wall that we’ll need to accommodate.)

you’ll want to add to this number to assure proper clearance.
